Week 1 | Day 1
When I was five years old, my grandpa got very ill. I remember as a little girl I wondered why Jesus couldn’t fix him. I wanted more piggyback rides, and memories made and it just wasn’t fair that the doctors couldn’t help much either. I remember it being a hard thing for my little brain to digest. So thinking back now, I can’t imagine how it was for my grandma or my parents. Have you had times in your life when you prayed for a miracle, but weren’t sure how to get results? These hard times bring us to life questions that matter.
In the Bible, we see stories all the time of beautiful miracles that Christ performed while he was on the earth. There is the story of Jairus taking Christ to his daughter to heal her, the lame being able to walk, the Son of Man rising from the dead himself. These are truly magnificent, but how do they apply to my life now? How can I believe in miracles? How do I notice them? Are they there? And the big question – How do I know when God will perform a miracle vs when life will just happen?
