Hi friends. Can I call you all that? Are we to that level yet? I really think we are.
Recently I started getting to know a friend that I met a few times. Our families did a few things together, but then they moved. She is one of those people you think you could be friends with forever, but timing wasn’t on our side.
Jokes on me though, because I’m learning the timing could not have been better. Her and I have been chatting in the middle of the night when our young babies fight their sleep. We have texted each other when we are at our wits end and just need to say hello to someone that gets it. I am starting to think, this is the friendship God had in mind for us after all.
It’s those kind of miracles that have changed my life and made it oh so beautiful!
This friend said something to me that motivated me to get my tired, just had a baby self to use the little brain power I have to write.
She said that she started painting recently and people respond asking, “Oh are you any good?” Why do people ask that? When people are into hiking, nobody says, “Oh are you any good?” Writing is sometimes this way. We feel we have to be good at it in order to do it.
My tired brain doesn’t work as well as my awake brain… shocker! Lol but seriously, I have used that as an excuse to not pull out my notebook, to not do the thing I love the most.
Before I go change my son’s stinky bum, I have to add this. I love this place. Thanks for your private messages, your public comments, and the loving support you have always shown me. You all mean more to me than you know. You are important. You are valued. You are heard, here in this space.
I love you all and hope you have a week full of miracles, both big and small. You deserve it, my friends!
